Artist Statement
'Sammy' is a striking study in contrast—a bold, female portrait set against a backdrop of vibrant gold stripes. Rendered in oversized sunglasses, her true expression deliberately eludes us. Is she caught mid-sentence, surprised by an onlooker, or making an objection of some sort? Either way, she possesses an undeniable, magnetic attitude that commands whatever room she inhabits. My portraits are always an invitation to look closer and feel a sense of shared creative confidence.
