Artist Statement
"Floccinaucinihilipilification" is the act of deciding that something is entirely without value. This piece is a deliberate play on the arbitrary nature of worth. By taking one of the longest, most academic words for "worthlessness" and dressing it in vibrant pink, striking blue, and cool grey, I wanted to turn a linguistic joke into something undeniably magnetic. Painted in bold acrylic on board, it invites the viewer to appreciate the irony: a vibrant, labor-intensive piece of art that playfully questions its own value, while demanding space on the wall. It’s an exercise in taking art seriously—without taking ourselves too seriously.
